Get 14 lives in one go - This is on the first level when you enter the forest. Pass the tape half way,save your game.you should find that not much further along there is a koopa, kill it. Above the platform you should see a box with flashing rewards in it. Hit the box when the flower is showing and recive the star (because when you hit the box the reward changes in the air), this will make you invincible for a while. Kill all of the enemys you see and by the time you have turned back to normal you will have gained up to 14 lives. This is useful to go back to if you are running low on lives later on in the game.
