how to catch deoxy

Your starting pokemon must be Squirtle. Once you get to the diglet tunnel, dig somewhere in the tunnel. It may take a while to find the spot, but when you find it, you will crash down into a small room and find Deoxy sitting there. You must defeat him, and then you will be able to choose whether to get the ep from defeating him or to keep him. I recommend keeping him.
