Only Real Way To Get Mew (I've done it, it's really real)

There is only one real way to get Mew in pokémon red/blue/yellow, and it's actually a glitch. I have done this in Red version.

1. (IMPORTANT) Skip the following trainer battles, the Gambler under the building left of the grass patch (You need to use cut to get to the grass) on route 8, and the young trainer that has a lvl 17 slowpoke past the nugget bridge on the way to Bill's house (he's facing away from the city itself)

2. After you have received the move fly, go to the house by the gambler on route 8. Stand under the door.

3. (IMPORTANT) Save your game. You only get one shot at mew, you don't want to mess this up.

4. Step down towards the gambler. As soon as you step, press start and use fly to fly to Cerulean City.
NOTE: As your bird comes to pick you up, the gambler will see you and get the "!" expression over his head, but you will fly away before you can battle.

5. Now you're in Cerulean. You know that you will be able to catch Mew if pressing the start button doesn't work. Go past the Nugget Bridge and go towards the trainer that you avoided eariler. (IMPORTANT) You must make the trainer come to you for battle. If you step right in front of him, the game will freeze.

6. Defeat this trainer.

7. Immediately fly to Lavender Town.

8. Step onto route 8. Your start menu will automatically pop up.

9. Press exit on the menu and you will automatically find a level 7 Mew.
