The X-Rom Flash Cartridge for Gameboy Advance
What's a flash cartridge?
The X-Rom flash cartridge/linker is a device for the Gameboy Advance unit (original or SP) that you can use to make backups of your games or to play ROMs that you have downloaded from the internet. The cartridge comes in two sizes - 512Mb or 1Gb - and is available from easybuy2000.com. The cartridge has the capacity to hold up to 32 commercial game ROM files or literally thousands of freeware or public domain ROMs that are available on the internet.
How does it work?
The cartridge, simplistic in its design, plugs straight into the back of the Gameboy Advance unit just like a regular game cartridge. The linker cable, which connects the Gameboy Advance unit to the PC, plugs easily into a port on the back of the unit. Once connected, copying ROMs to the cartridge is as simple as dragging and dropping them into the area in the client software that represents the free space on the cartridge. When you are satisfied with the contents of the cartridge, pressing the Flash button in the client software will save the changes that you have made.
